Shopping for Plus Size Bras, Panties, and Other Intimates    by V. Pierson

Ladies these are the foundation of every outfit you wear. You need to pay particular attention to these crucial items. Choosing the right under garment will give you the confidence and your body the support to wear almost any outfit you desire.

Let’s start with plus size bras. Select a bra that fits. You need to be honest with yourself and not try to buy a size smaller with the hope of being that size eventually. Buy for today, not for tomorrow. Besides if you do lose the weight and need smaller sizes you get the celebratory joy of shopping for the new you. Measure yourself or have yourself measured at your favorite store. Look at the size chart for whatever brand you are purchasing or even think you may purchase and write the correct size down. A proper fitting bra will give you support and enhance your bust line. Remember that size is just a number!

Choose one that will go with your outfit of choice if you are purchasing for a special occasion or one that will deliver comfort and support for everyday wear. When choosing a plus size bra, remember that the smaller the strap, the larger the bulge will be if you have a problem shoulder area. Larger straps will spread out over the area without leaving a large bulge.

Look for bras that have an x or y in the back. These will give you the most support. Support is critical if you want to avoid future back problems. Do not buy a bra that is too tight. If you want to compress your shape use body shapewear, not clothes that do not fit. If you need a bra for halter top or a strapless dress try and find a convertible bra. The straps detach and you can wear it with your strapless attire. It is like getting two bras for the price of one.
Buying plus size panties is very similar to plus size bras. Only buy panties that fit. The correct size will give you the support that you need. Panties should not pinch around the legs or waist area. Anything that pinches also creates a bulge.

Ladies let’s try and remember there is a time and place for everything. Thongs and G-strings are not appropriate for work, unless you happen to be an exotic dancer. No one wants to see the top of your g-string when you bend over. You can still wear underwear that makes you feel sexy. Just don’t let your co-workers see it.

Plus Size Shapewear is a Plus Size Lady’s best friend. Now you can buy undergarments that provide the shape you want without creating bulges you don’t want. Make sure you buy shapewear that goes with your outfit. If you are going to wear a dress or be out in public, buy shapewear that can be opened at the bottom or is crotchless for obvious reasons.

With all of your purchases remember to buy quality merchandise. You can go to some stores and buy cheap articles of clothing, but in the long run they may wear out faster than a slightly more expensive brand. The reverse can be true as well, expensive items will not last if you do not follow the care instructions provided by the manufacturer. Always wash your delicates in the delicate cycle of your machine unless it says to treat them in a special way. This will help your investment last longer.
